LASER THERAPY
Low level cold laser (far-infrared) therapy generates a single wavelength of light that is safe and non-invasive. It is not visible and emits no heat, sound, or vibration, and is believed to affect the function of connective tissue cells (fibroblasts), accelerate connective tissue repair and act as an anti-inflammatory agent. There is also evidence to suggest that LLLs activate the mitochondria to increase the production of ATP, the unit of energy produced in the body, which would explain part of the healing effect. Lasers are used in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, carpal tunnel, stroke rehab, surgical scars, non-healing wounds, and neuropathy.
Neuro-Acupuncture
Neuro-acupuncture is a contemporary acupuncture technique integrating traditional Chinese needling methods and Scalp Acupuncture with western medical knowledge of neurology, neuroscience, and neurological rehabilitation. Neuroacupuncture is an advanced skill, most effective in the treatment of acute and chronic central nervous system disorders, often producing remarkable results with just a few needles.
BIO MAT
The amethyst BioMat is an FDA-approved medical device that adds another dimension of healing to each acupuncture treatment in our clinic! It is safe, gentle, pleasantly warm, and promotes a deep state of relaxation in a matter of minutes. Heat passes through the amethyst crystals and produces Far Infrared Rays (FIR), nature’s invisible light. The BioMat also produces Negative Ions, nature’s energizer, which deliver a ‘massage’ on the molecular level. This accelerates and deepens the healing and cleansing processes.
